IIgoumenitsa, the capital of Thesprotia’s Prefecture, is a picturesque town of 15.000 habitants. The port of Igoumenitsa – also known as “Gate of the Greece to Europe” - lies amongst a beautiful landscape at the Ionian Sea.
Due to its connection with other ports like Paxos, Corfu, Patras but also Bari, Brindisi, Venice, Ancona and Trieste in Italy Igoumenitsa is one of the most important ports in Greece.
